What I Do
An experienced writer and editor, I've put my passion for words to good use over the last 20 years creating engaging content about lifestyle, fashion and beauty in editorial, marketing and advertising capacities, both in North America and in the U.K.
Recently, I have shifted my focus to creative writing, including biographical work, poetry and short stories. I also write, edit and proofread for independent clients.
My Background
After completing an English Literature degree with Creative Writing and working as a fashion and beauty writer in the U.K., I moved to Toronto, Canada, where I honed my skills as the associate lifestyle editor at Chatelaine magazine and as senior editor at The Kit, the Toronto Star's weekly fashion and beauty publication. As a freelance editor, I went on to co-found a digital travel magazine and was editor-in-chief of a digital beauty publication. My background in magazine production gave me a solid understanding of grammar and an appreciation for efficient processes. (If only my toddler felt the same!)
